!! Speculation & Vacancy Tax:

Friendly reminder that if you own a property in BC, you will need to complete a declaration by Monday, March 31, 2019, even if you won’t be required to pay the tax. To claim your exemption (by phone or online), you must register your property (one registration per person on title).

If you do not complete the declaration for exemption by March 31st, then you will receive a tax notice in April with payment due July 2, 2019 (2% of property’s assessed value for foreign owners and 0.5% for Canadian owners).
